Spring without you

We all have different ways at different times in our journey of grief to try to express the indescribable. I have written many poems since my Son's passing. This is the most recent that I wrote for my beautiful Morgan.

Spring is here and leaves are falling

As they always do.

Another season's arrival spent

Here, without you.

Three Springs have come and gone

But what I have to say.

Is it makes me realize in my soul

It just makes another way.

Another way to see new life

Bounding out of the ground.

Another way for flowers faces

To show all around.

Another way for bees and butterflies

Get every drop they need.

Another way for seeds planted

To grow amoung the weeds.

Another Spring without you

I can't believe it's time.

To watch the world come alive

The years they sure do fly.

But as the years go by

And with every Spring I know.

You'll be raining drops from up above

That help the flowers grow.
